Custom Volkswagen handmade by the late Victor Selotti. For those of you unfamiliar with Selotti, he was a Mattel workshop employee often known for his creative works, sometimes called "lunch cars." As the story goes, Selotti would customize these cars on lunch breaks, typically by giving them additional detail in terms of aesthetics. This particular Volkswagen, however, might have played a more important role at Mattel. Notice the one-piece dark glass and smooth sunroof. And Look at the beautiful stripe and painted trunk latch!
